"I wish this place would just be closed down already. I have been several times for pain that cannot be controlled by TYLENOL OR IBUPROFEN! Every single time I’m treated as a drug seeker even when there is no need for it at all. It’s like all the staff here believe pain doesn’t exist and that they don’t ever need to help you. They would rather push you in and out within 15 minutes and make you feel hopeless. I think my experiences here as well as everyone else’s speaks volume. THIS FACILITIES ER NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED! Illegal activity honestly, refusal to treat you adequately. I’d rather risk death in an emergency trying to make it to Bronson Kalamazoo than to stop for treatment at this place!!! Steer clear from here if you have real pain and don’t want to be treated like a criminal!"

"I was recently diagnosed with gallstones. I have had three ER visits from gallstone attacks. The two most recent visits were within the past 5 days. Once yesterday which was on Christmas, unfortunately, and once early morning of Dec. 22nd. During the visit on Dec. 22nd, I had to have a CT scan. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the associate who took me for my CT scan. He was incredibly rude to me. Asked me if the only reason I had come in was to get pain meds! And then asked if I had a primary care physician. I explained to him that I was in a lot of pain and I was scared something bad was happening to me, and that I am usually seen at my tribe’s clinic. He then says that I should probably go to my clinic first before coming into the ER! And at this point it was 5am and I was in excruciating pain! It was literally impossible to go to my clinic because they were closed during that time and even if I had, they would have sent me to the ER for care because of the amount of pain I was in! Also, my doctor already seen me before these ER visits and KNOWS I have gallstones and directed me to go into the ER if I was in pain that would not go away. Being in that much pain and having someone accuse you of drug seeking and treating you like an addict is horrible. Also since these two visits were so close, my doctor was upset that the ER doctors didn’t have a surgeon come to evaluate me! But since my gallbladder has no infection it is not considered an emergency for surgery, even though a stone was stuck in my bile duct causing me horrendous pain! I hope they will push my surgery sooner. I don’t recommend going here. You’ll get better care elsewhere."

"I got a CT, EKG and blood work done all done within a hour. The staff was so kind and friendly. I have severe emphysema and they wheeled me around from test to test and even wheeled me to my vehicle after. Such a great place."

"The doctor treated us as if we shouldn't be there. Was rude and made many jabs at me verbally. Hardly looked over my son. This isn't my first time having a rude entitled doctor at this hospital. (I have 6 kids and it's our closest hospital)"

"I went to their ER last month due to extreme pain in my abdomen. It turns out I had acute appendicitis. From the time of check-in, the staff was helpful and prompt with my care. I unexpectedly had to be admitted overnight. The DO I had seemed genuinely concerned for my well-being and safely. According to the CT scan I had, my appendix was inflamed enough for the doctor to look very concerned and to highly recommend I be transferred to the Kalamazoo location for surgery asap. After much thought and consideration, I decided to have surgery (my first surgery). I was extremely nervous and anxious about everything. The physician's assistant (Stephen) I had care for me through my night at Borgess-Lee was a huge help. He was very kind, patient, and calm yet attentive without being over the top. His vibe helped calm my nerves, which I really appreciated. Overall my experience here was good, and everyone took good care of me. I have a lot of respect and gratitude for the doctors, nurses, PA's, and so forth who put their heart into their work - it takes a very strong and giving person to be good at these professions."
