"This is my second time at memorial midwives, I throughly enjoyed it the first time and was hoping for the same level of care I previously received. Sadly not the case —if I could give a 0 I would—-DO NOT GO to memorial midwives, especially Claire Walker. I started with them at 6 weeks (august 2020) begging to be tested for everything because some thing was not right. For multiple appointments they refused, told me that the tests and my symptoms were “normal” and that I needed to calm down. They even went as far to cancel my testing requests and throw away my urine specimen after I left the building!!! I continued begging. Only in October ( I began in august) Claire walker was reluctant to do a job pelvic exam, but did with attitude. She immediately told me I had 2-3 different things that was going on. MEANING MY BABY HAD ALL OF THIS RUNNING THROUGH HIS BLOOD FOR THE FIRST TWELVE WEEKS BECAUSE NOBODY WANTED TO BELIEVE ME. —i was also high risk pregnancy— I eventually had to go to my regular doctor after Claire walker would cancel my orders and throw out my specimen. My family doctor told me I had such a bad uti infection it was 100% affecting my baby. My whole experience was horrific. And yes. Although I cannot literally prove it, but through the most genetic testing possible, there was no explanation to my son having had a heart condition. But due to Claire walker refusing to treat me for uti+ more, he was born and passed at ten days from his heart defect. Severe uti’s are a serious cause to heart defects. Also terrible TERRIBLE customer service by one specific nurse but never bothered to learn her name, as well as their “head nurse.” It was ridiculous and I ended up just walking out and never going back. I would highly highly discourage any pregnant women to go there, especially if it’s your first bundle of joy!! Memorial’s e. Blair Warner took the rest of my pregnancy and were absolutely wonderful!"

"Honestly the office staff doesn’t deserve any stars. They were completely rude and unprofessional, especially the office manager. The first few mistakes I was very understanding and flexible, but by the fourth I decided to part ways. The actual midwives were nice and did a great job answering my questions. However, this is my first child and the experience I had with the office staff was unacceptable. What’s more alarming is that when I shared my experience on Facebook, the number of people that reached out to me with similar experiences. Luckily I was able to get a good recommendation and found a doctor with a much better staff."

"I absolutely love the beacon midwives. I was unhappy with at a different practice and decided to switch and I am forever glad I did. The midwives are the kindest and most supportive women I have had the pleasure of getting to know. I would highly recommend them for pregnant women. I’d love to especially call out Laura Mabry who delivered my baby so calm and efficiently she was in my deliver room from the moment she arrived at the hospital just staying there silently supporting ( I had other support helping me). I also want to thank Claire walker who I saw at a postpartum visit. I was full of hormones and anxiety and when i started to cry even with the covid pandemic she gave me a huge hug and helped me feel not alone. I love you guys thank you."

"I have never been so pleased with my prenatal care and delivery. I went to the midwives throughout my third pregnancy and recently delivered my daughter with them. My other children were born in different states. This experience was by far the best of any of my pregnancies. I really loved the whole team of midwives as well as the front desk staff and medical assistants. My appointments were always on time. I never had to wait. The appointments were succinct, but each midwife always took the time to talk with me and answer any questions. I would have been pleased with any of the midwives delivering my daughter, but I loved having Kristy be there for the delivery. I felt very confident in her experience, especially as the end of the labor got to be more difficult. Each day after the birth, one of the midwives visited me and talked with me at the hospital. The level of care and personal attention given is top notch. I really can’t recommend them enough. We aren’t having more children, but if we were I would not go anywhere else. I’ve already referred several pregnant friends. Seriously, if you’re anywhere near South Bend, this is the place to go for your prenatal care and delivery or women’s health."
