Lois E. Carter Middle School

"I would give this school ZERO stars if I could. My child has attended Carter since 6th grade. I have got into several verbal arguments with the principal. She likes to argue back. She is NOT professional at all! She is not friendly, and her staff follows with the same crappy attitude. The "secretary" in the front office has to be one of the rudest people I have EVER encountered. She acts nice when the principal is around. She has been very rude every time I have called the school or have picked up my child from the front office. I can eventually see this school getting shut down. Very poor performance. I am not surprised this school is rated two stars!! If I would have known what I know now, I would have never sent my child to this school!"

"School policy on bullying is non-existent. A student threatened my son saying he had a gun in his backpack and the administration did nothing. My son has been told repeatedly by this same student that he should kill himself. Zero action has been taken. The administration doesn't take gun threats serious in an age where school shootings are a daily occurrence. Their explanation was the kid is in a "special needs" program and apparently that's what passes as "action" in their opinion, pushing the blame. Totally unacceptable. I would not recommend this school t ok anyone."

"This school is way too strict, the dress code is absurd and then it feels like everyday they try and ban something new, most of the faculty are very rude. The dress code is completely stupid I always feel so uncomfortable not wearing what I want to wear, half of the time the students are too stressed to go to school cause they might just get sent home for what they're wearing, apparently what we're wearing is more important than our education. There is a very low percent of teachers that are extremely nice when the rest of the teachers are extremely mean and rude. One of the teachers always mocked one of my friends in class. One teacher has her students constantly correct her on her correction sheet because she's wrong. Also wearing no hoods is stupid, it isn't a stupid gang sign whatever you people think. I would never recommend this school for your child."

"This school is such a bad school. The teachers are so rude and mean. The teachers take there anger out on you if you do nothing wrong. The teachers always get a student in trouble for no reason at all. The food is gross. The vice principal is so rude to the students. I would not reccomd you to come here. They lock the boys bathrooms because of no reason at all, once again."

"The teachers have no respect for the kids just the other day when I was in the office a teacher was publicly embarrassing a student. The principal is ok but the vice principal is a bully that abuses her power she treats the boys with no respect and non of the lunch moms have respect towards me and my friends. Never send your children to this school unless you want them bullied by the workers. This school needs a inspection the bathrooms have pee every where and the soap dispenser is covered in gum they do not clean the school. I've been here for 3 years and these 3 years have been the worst of my life ."
