"Yes, Horizons is expensive. But it is expensive because of what amazing work they do and the way that they are so fully invested in their clients. When seeking out therapy, it is important to view it as an investment. I have been a part of the Horizons family for the past five years now. Have I spent a lot of money? Yes. But I am where I am today in life because of the life changing and expert counseling provided to me by Dr. Beurkens. My son is where he is today because of the expert counseling provided to him by Erin Roon. There is no way in the world that my son would be succeeding in life, were it not for the dedication of Erin Roon. Erin isn't just going through the motions of showing up to work for a paycheck. She loves my son and pours her whole heart into helping him succeed. She is his biggest advocate and his most constant cheerleader. Hendrick loves coming to Horizons and his progress has increased significantly since we began to bring him twice weekly instead of once weekly. His teachers immediately started commenting on his progress. At parent teacher conferences, both my son's teacher and specialists told me, "Thank God for Erin Roon." She goes above and beyond in the outside time she spends communicating directly with my son's teacher and specialists. Their relationship is ongoing and Erin is setting my child up on a path to success. He struggles in school and does not enjoy it but he joyfully arrives to Horizons at each appointment to triumphantly declare, "I love my appointment with Miss Erin!" When he's with Miss Erin he feels smart and confident and happy. You cannot put a price tag on this level of care and how life changing it truly is. When you see a business with all five star reviews and only one one star review, you know that it's the reviewer who has the issue and not the facility. Horizons has always excelled at open communication and will happily and directly answer any and all concerns that you may have along the way. Even after hours, if you shoot your child's therapist an e-mail, you will normally get a response. Horizons does a lot of "extra" things, which make the higher cost make sense. I could not be more thankful for the team at Horizons and the way they have bettered our lives. Keep up the amazing work, you guys!!"

"We have been bringing our son to weekly therapy sessions at Horizons for more than two years, and it has been such a positive experience for our entire family. We were referred to Horizons by our pediatrician, after a lengthy period of experiencing behavioral challenges with our then-three-year-old. Most resource centers we contacted at that time either were not willing to evaluate children that young, or they gave us extremely intense programs that did not seem to align with our child's needs. But we knew in our hearts what our little boy needed, and it was Horizons who identified those needs and how to best address them. After meeting with Nicole, we felt very comfortable with the structured program of physical and mental exercises the Horizons team would focus on for our particular situation. Erin has been our primary therapist this entire time and our son is so happy working with her. She clearly explains to us what she has observed during our sessions and how -- and why -- she would like to proceed from there. He has learned so much from her, but so have we, his parents, in terms of how to effectively deal with the difficult moments. She is like a member of the family, in that we often reach out to her outside of our normal session time so as to discuss with her any issues and high points that happen throughout the week. None of this would matter if we have not noticed any kind of discernible change in our son. But it is such a wonderful and heartwarming thing to see your child learn and grow and feel more confident in their own skin. And for that we have Horizons to thank."

"We have been a part of the Horizons family since the clinic started. My son has made amazing progress with the guidance and support of the Horizons staff. The staff is knowledgeable, patient and kind, willing to help with any and all challenges our son or family has faced along the way. Our journey has taken us from having a non-verbal child with sensory issues to a curious, funny, always helpful young man who is willing to tackle anything. He is a joy. We simply could not have done this without the help of Horizons."

"The team at Horizons worked wonders for my son, who has a learning disability and extreme difficulty focusing at school. The interventions made a huge difference and translated to home as well. Horizons absolutely contributed to his success in school last year and the clinician-parent connection has set him up for continued success this year. Thank you for working to bridge the gap between educators and families for better behavior in school and at home!!"

"When we first started having trouble with our son, the school was no help at all. We felt they were against us at every turn. We set out to find something - a therapy possibly - that would work both at home and school. We spent almost 6 years, 8 clinics, numerous therapies and several thousands of dollars before we happened to meet a Horizons family at our new church. We looked into this "hidden gem" and found a caring, compassionate and highly qualified and competent staff who "get it". We felt like family from the start. The Dr. is awesome. Come to find out, all the clinicians are also certified teachers so they know the troubles we were having with the school. They also have dozens of certifications between them all. Our entire family was and is greatly appreciative of the help we have received from the first day we walked into Horizons. We have since recommended Horizons to many of the other families we know with children who struggle with things like ADHD, Anxiety, behavior issues and nutritional questions. This is a true "One Stop" shop. I just wish we had found this wonderful clinic years sooner."
