Dean Transportation

"09/28/2023 — Date of incident. I would never recommend dean transportation to anyone. Also never has my child, been talked to or addressed by a professional, the way this bus driver has talked to my child. It is completely unprofessional, unacceptable, and speaks more about the driver then it does my child. He is a special needs seven year old, and is being targeted by a grown man with no intellectual capabilities. To: TONY the bus driver, if you haven’t anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Ten thumbs down and no stars. If it was an option, I would give negative stars. I have two boys, one gets on the bus, completely silent, walks up three steps, takes a left, and finds his seat. Tony says nothing. My next child gets on the bus completely silent, walks up the three steps, and tony tells him, “Wipe that attitude off your face or you’ll be sitting in the back of the bus.” My son then turns left and starts down the aisle to find his seat, still silent. Tony then proceeds to look up into his mirror, and continues on at my child, So loud I can hear it up my driveway to my front door. I opened my door and screamed for tony to leave my child alone, twice I screamed it. As I was walking out my door to run to the bus and see what the problem was. Tony closed the doors and began to drive off. TODAY, Sept, 29th, Tony pulls up, This time I am fully clothes and have my arm around my sons, walking them to the bus. Tony has the audacity to tell me my sons are not allowed on the bus. I then confront him because ‘what is this vendetta against my child?’ Tony did this same thing all last year, and all this year. And this IS NOT the first time I have caught Tony speaking to my son in a derogatory way. The FIRST time, I let it go. This time, I will not. I am pressing the issue to the fullest, especially after calling several other parents and having them all say that he is decent to their children. I then realized that unfortunately it is only happening to my one child. My children will absolutely never ride the bus again until the schools and transportation department handle the way my child was VERBALLY ABUSED by one of their staff."

"I don't know what happened since last year but I'm so beyond over the bus garage already and we're only on day two of the school year. Yesterday morning the bus was 15 minutes late. Yesterday evening it was over half an hour late. This morning 5 minutes late and so far 43 minutes late this evening. Last year you'd get a text saying that your child's bus is running roughly so many minutes behind. This year absolute silence. No communication whatsoever. I can understand it's the first couple of days, drivers are learning routes, kids are learning how to get to the bus, etc. But to have my child 40+ minutes past drop off time and not communicate what's going on is completely unacceptable!"
