"If I could put 0 starts I definitely would. I only went here for not even a semester and it was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had. First of all, some of the teachers really do not teach all of the material and basically expect you to learn on your own. Second of all, there’s no late policy, meaning they don’t accept late work. So if you don’t turn it in before the due date, you get a 0 and have 0 chance of making it up. This happened to me with an assignment, I was going to be late on. Mary Jo contacted me via phone number to let me know I would have a late assignment (which I already knew). She basically told me that I wasn’t “college material” and should consider going to trade school or getting my CNA. This is one conversation that left me crying and questioning whether or not I wanted to continue going here. The staff is very rude and condescending, not to mention it’s very expensive to go here and they really don’t give you a lot to work with in terms of financial aid. I do not recommend and I hope every person who considers this place as an option takes what I’ve said into consideration."

"Never received my refund, online class structure offers little support, and the platform never updated my due date time to my time zone. IT was called and there was no real solution ever found except to inform my professor. Which ended in my just emailing my work to them. Was super excited for this school! Now, I'm highly disappointed."

"My experience with Baker College Muskegon has been great. I just graduated from the Vet Tech program and I do have to say that the instructors are the most supportive and encouraging people ever. The program is not easy, nor should it be, but they help push you through every rough spot. I would recommend this program to anyone interested with a lot of drive and passion for veterinary work. My class, personally, had a few schedule hick-ups and stuff happen that made our experience not as smooth as it could have been. However, the instructors were with us every step of the way to help no matter our situation."

"Do not waste your time or money. I am only attending this school because the drive to the good Vet Tech colleges is way too far. The school does not support its students. It always backs its teachers they always cover for each other so if a student needs help and is having issues with in inexperienced teacher they close ranks and no one is ever there to help the students. The teachers are supposed to follow a curriculum set forth by the school but in the LVT program they constantly fall behind and just expect you to teach yourself so that you stay on schedule. I am the worst person to teach myself anything. What I am learning in these classes can mean life or death to a patient. So why would you trust me to teach myself these thing because you cant seem to stick to a schedule. Why am I paying them? None of their VET TECH teachers have any sort of teaching certificate. So it makes it hard to understand them when they only teach how they know how to learn. This is very exclusionary. One professor quit without notice, 3 weeks into a semester and they had to scramble to find a replacement. We just got a friendly email that he no longer works for the school. Turns out he had been a teacher here for almost 20 years and it took the new program director and all the new changes to make him say enough is enough this doesn't work anymore. They teachers openly tell you that your life is gonna he hell for 2 years. Hold up. Why does the program have to be hell? Why do you have to run it so that your students with any kind of anxiety or depression are running to therapy and openly crying around campus from the stress? Why not make it better. Hell isn't a place I want to be, so why not help us instead of hurt. If I had known these credits do not transfer I would never had started here at all. They tell you not to work while you're in the program, ok then how am I supposed to live? They tell you it is full time all the time. It isnt. They lie a lot to get you into the program."

"Most of the teachers that are at this college have worked in some sort of industry relevant to the courses they teach. Aside from a few examples of bad teaching by teachers clearly hired because of them simply attending the school... a career focused school like this is definitely worth taking a look into."
