"Half of our meals were cold. We did go during a busier time which is why they at least get a 3 star. Our table was missing everything but our waitress was quick to bring it when we requested the items (coffee creamer, jelly, etc.)."
"The food was what you'd expect out of a Coney Island, just something that's good but nothing all 6 special to make a trip out of your way specifically for it. I got a Chicken, Bacon & Ranch Hani, which was good, could've used some more ranch but the chicken and bacon were crisp and tender. The hot chocolate is always good there so if you're ever feeling cold on a winter day it's definitely worth getting. Service could've been quicker but it didn't bother us too much since I went as a group catching up with one another."
"As a recent returnee to Michigan (been gone decades) I was surprised by how many - and how many different - Coney Island restaurants there are. I am NOT getting into that fight, I'll happily try them all. Turns out the way I like my hot dogs is exactly how the Coney Islands make them. Yea me! I got in here about 11:30, beating the rush. Several tables were occupied already but most were available. I was seated quickly and Nicolette was there inside 30 seconds to take my drink order. She was very friendly and has a good sense of humor. One of those people that is truly good at customer service. After I figured out what I wanted (classic Coney dogs, duh) my order showed up super fast, exactly as requested. Hot and delicious. Nicolette checked in several times as she passed by, always with a smile. I guess my next Coney Island visit should be a competitor to see how it stacks up. The bar was set pretty high here, though."
"I love diners and this one doesn't disappoint. My only complaint is you can't get most of the breakfast items at the drive through. Oh well. Worth going inside anyways as the atmosphere is chill and cozy and the customer service is always perfect. And if you stay at the Candlewood suites just behind National, you get a discount on your order!"
