"The Food was Very, very, very good. I wish we had a soul food place like this in Columbus. I had the Perch, Greens with Turkey Meat, and homemade Dressing. The Service was on point also. We sat down and ate. I will diffently be back. ❤"

"I must say first of all, this being my first time visiting this place, it has the most FRIENDLINESS STAFF ever. She greeted us with a big smile and was very patience we were trying to select our food. Secondly, the food was off the chain. Very tasty and they served a healthy portion. I had stopped eating sweet, but y'all that Strawberry Cake that they had, OMG...so very good. I highly recommend this Soul Food place..it will remind you of either your Mama or Big Mama cooking in the kitchen. Thank you again to the staff and especially the cooks for a great meal. Blessings upon you all. Looking forward to driving back from Jackson which is an hour or so just to try other items on the menu."

"Waited 30 minutes for the food. We were the only customers. Pork chop sandwich...disappointed. Was literally a deconstructed sandwich, 2 pieces of white bread with a long flat sorry piece of fried pork. Chicken wings had as much meat as my little finger. Tiny. Not very tasty...and the Mac and cheese? Cold and bland. Like they scooped it out of the bucket in the fridge and tossed it in the microwave for 15 seconds. The pinto beans were the best part of the meal. Nice staff...but not any soul food I'd eat again...if you can even call that soul food."

"Edited Review: 1/5/23 I am thoroughly pleased with my order and the food was DELICIOUS. I appreciate the amount of professionalism Mrs. Val and the other owners showed me when I stopped by again. They have earned me as a repeat customer along with my grandparents who has been looking for a #BlackOwned establishment to patronize. We will be returning"

"The food was mediocre. I'm from the south so I might of been expecting something that doesn't exist in Detroit. The wait is entirely too long, which wouldnt be bad if my food was hot and fresh like they claim due to the wait. My chicken wings didn't seem fresh they weren't even crispy like fresh out the grease. The flavor of the food was ok. I'm not sure I would go back. I didn't finish any of the food I got. The flavor was not there for me."
