"As soon as we walked in the door and the smells hit me I knew the food was going to be good. Good doesn't even begin to cover it. Everything was seasoned perfectly, with generous portions. I've found my new favorite soul food restaurant."
"I would give the whole 5 stars but I haven’t tried everything they offer. I’m super picky but when they are open they don’t usually have everything on the menu. I also wish they were open more days and give notice when they’ll be closed during the days we expect them to be open. All in All they are polite and the food that I frequent there for is delicious. The dressing is amazing and can be eaten with or without a cranberry sauce or gravy. The baked chicken and the fried wings are good and seasoned well. The macaroni is good as well."

"This is one of the few places in Detroit that has REAL Soul Food. I have ordered from here several times now and the food is flavorful with generous portions. The menu is a little different daily so call ahead. On the weekends go early. My favorites are the oxtails with gravy, smothered catfish, and thr fried chicken. All the sides are good, including the spaghetti (which most places don't do right) but my favorite is the dressing!! They do a great job at making sure the food is fresh but fresh also means that they run out of things on busier days or later at night. It's not fast food so, certain items may take a while but the food is worth the wait. There is no dine-in, carryout only! Closed on Mondays."
