"I cannot say enough wonderful things about New York Bagel. Their bagels and ingredients are always fresh and delicious, everything is always well stocked, and the employees are phenomenal. If their 100+ years in the community haven’t told you enough, let the bagels speak for themselves. They’re the best in the business."

"I found this place on the way to get donuts actually and I’m glad I went. The vegan bagel sandwich Was Absolutely amazing!!!!! And it was beautifully cut.. Also the BLT which you see in the picture was amazing!!!!!! I wanted to savor and save the other half but I couldn’t. If you’re a bagel lover I recommend this place. Try something new. I wish this place love."

"New York Bagel reminds me of the best parts of my childhood in Ferndale. In elementary school (RIP Washington), one day a week was bagel day. Despite not liking salt, I’d get the salt sticks because everyone else got them and they were cooler than traditional bagels. In high school, I had an all-day band practice (fly high forever, Eagles!) that I recall being in the mid-late fall because it was quite cold outside. My mom surprised me by dropping off a bagel sandwich with turkey, coleslaw, and Russian dressing. She’s gone now, but whenever I walk into NY Bagel I think of my mom and the perfection of that sandwich. I live in Chicago now, but any visit back to Ferndale involves a stop for the best bagels in the Detroit-area. Though I’m trying not to overstate it - these are the best bagels in the world. I’ve been to the bagel hotspots of the world, including NYC and Montreal, and nothing compares to these. My personal favorite are the egg bagels, but they’re all amazing. If you’re in the area, go here."

"Great selection of bagel, cream cheeses, and deli options. Got the veggie deli on an onion roll, with garlic hive cream cheese and Chipotle mayo. Probably the best Chipotle mayo I have had. All the ingredients were fresh, the whole box was packaged well including the fresh coleslaw and pickle. Everything was less than $9 with tips. Will be back. Definitely prefer east side veggie deli over the egg and cheese. It was a bit dry and not as flavorful. Doggy bagels was a great addition."
