"This is a super fun little joint. This is where the Sanders used to be and there is still a sign behind the register that reminds you of that. Overall it was an enjoyable experience I hope that they would consider staying open late on the weekends in the summer as i have many fond memories of being in East town GR and leaving the bars and hitting up Yesterdog afterwards and downtown Wyandotte is good for that type of thing with its very nightlife friendly environment."
"On 11-19-23, shortly after 11am, my family and I visited Simply Hot Dogs and Ice Cream on Biddle. We are from out of town. There were two girls working and no one else was in the shop except a panhandler who approached my brother (my brother told him “no” and the panhandler left). It would have been nice if they had smiled, or welcomed us or greeted us in some way. The girls then proceeded to take my brother’s order of ice cream. She took his order, then waited as if to see if he would say more then asked “cup or cone”, one of which was a cup and the other a cone. The girl dispensing the ice cream never cracked a smile, never said a word of greeting; she went about the business of scooping the ice cream, then handed them to my family without a word. After we received the ice cream, the girls disappeared into the back room never to be seen again; no "good-bye", no "have a nice day", no "thank you for stopping in", not a word. My brother even asked the cashier if anything was wrong, thinking maybe the panhandler had upset her but she said “no, I’m fine”. He then asked her if she was angry with him. She again just said “no”. That was the extent of their whole conversation aside from ordering. I don’t think we will ever go back again. I will be calling the owner - I have never seen three people treated so rudely and dismissively. I guess we made them work too hard. From start to finish, these girls acted as if we were disturbing them and proceeded with the least amount of contact/conversation possible. They should probably consider another job where they don't have to interact with people. The two of them were as cold as the ice cream."
