"We sat in the bar area on a Sunday. All the employees we encountered were friendly and our server was great. I didn't get her name. She had great suggestions on beer, too. The seasoned & Parmesan fries are delicious. And the prices are great while most places seem to be overcharging for mediocre food & beer. Parking is easy, free and no worries about getting hosed by parking meters like with the new ones downtown. Tickets can get mailed late & $45 late fine quickly added = $65 for a parking ticket. Ridiculous. We avoid downtown now except on Sundays when parking is free. Highly recommend this place and the location in Washington."

"Could not have been more impressed with Brown Iron. Our server was friendly and made us feel welcome, and even important. The menu had an unexpectedly large beer selection. Our server was excellent in helping us decide. The food menu is what I'd describe as creative bar food + fancy dining combination that's exceptionally well done. Everything was delicious! We were even impressed with the salads."

"Why on earth would you schedule a party with double the attendants then seats on a night of Trivia?! let alone with tables directly next to the group being sat. So unenjoyable for literally anyone anywhere near this group. They continued to grow, get louder, and push their way further out to make sure not a single person could hear a thing. We went through 3 trivia rounds before getting a single bar drink when they were ordered before the start of the game. Horrible management, planning and maintaining. This one single girl handled the entire group without a single manager in sight. Will literally never return."

"We really enjoy going to Brown iron brewhouse in Royal Oak. The beer selection is outstanding and well curated. You can always find something. The menu is divided by styles which is very handy especially because it takes a lot to look through it when you have that many choices, it is a quality problem to have by the way the food is pretty good. It is barbecue focused and they do a pretty good job of it. The burgers are particularly good here in my opinion the brisket and pork sandwiches and meals are also really really good services. Always very good at brown iron. It’s a large venue so it’s not that often when you have to wait for a table. They also have a great outdoor seating area. The location is convenient at 13 mile and Woodward and Coolidge. One thing I will say about the food here is it is very rich. I don’t mean that in a bad way but one does not really come here for a light meal in my opinion they do have salads, but I’ve never tried one because well if you knew me, I like meat, happy hour special is OK. You can get some good deals and some discounted appetizers."
