"Staff were rude over the phone. When coming to the restaurant we were shooshed away"

"We went on Mothers Day. Walked in, since no one ever answered the phone to make a reservation or returned calls. Apparently, they are only open on Sundays. There is no sign and had to guess where the door was. Once found and inside we were asked at the door to pay 40 dollars per person. It included a 'mimosa' in an about a 6 oz small plastic cup. Food was buffet style. There was plenty to eat and a decent variety. I was wanting an ala carte menu, since i can't eat very much at one sitting. My fault for not presenting my gastric bypass card, not that they would have agreed to charging me the kids price. Maybe they do. Most of the meats were tough and over cooked. But the fried chicken, fried catfish, baked fish, greens, and creamed corn was delicious. Everything is on paper plates and plastic utensils. An ice tub with drinks was available. The deserts tasted liked boxed mixes. I would try it again, if they served ala carte. Everyone working there was very nice and friendly. The vibe seemed like it was opened to serve an extended family for after church Sunday supper."
