"sadly because people have become more interested in government hand outs they are very short staffed. Very friendly amish style restaurant. Food was ok but might have to do with short staffed. If you go to this restaurant and your waiting for a table. Dont stand in front of the salad bar and block people that are trying to get to food plus its unsanitary. Tourists always seem to be the rudest. They are understaffed so have patience... visit number 2 now 2 years later.. This is my seccond time here. This lil restaurant is ok the menu is very small choices i had chicken frieds steak melted in my mouth but just not big enough for me. The buffet is permantly closed down and they only use one side of the restaurant. The Amish waitress was very nice. Im not sure how this place stays in business unless its just to keep locals in a job.. btw the copkies are amazing. They need to make a sample pack of all the cookies to sell thry all looked amazing choc chips are soft and yummy..."

"Great value, good food, ok service. The server wasn't very friendly, but was efficient. I was expecting food to be better considering it's Amish country. It was good, but not great."

"We were hoping for the buffet, but it wasn't available the night we went, but we didn't mind because the women who took care of us were amazing. Made sure we had everything, refilled glasses promptly and the food was amazing and plentiful. Definitely recommend. Atmosphere was quiet, clean, dimly lite to set a relaxed mood. The decor was traditionally what you seen in Amish County/Shipshe."

"9:15 in the morning would've expected there'd be more customers. Guess the locals know that there's someplace better on down the road. My meal was kinda dry, and a piece of square processed fake cheese is a poor excuse for what I expected. Kathy's meal was so-so. Waitress was pleasant, but coulda had better food for sure."

"Unfortunately I was disappointed in this location. We got there on a weekday at in the afternoon and we had to wait to be seated which is fine , but the waiting area had no fans or AC going to keep anyone comfortable. When we were finally seated , it took over 10 min before anyone even took a drink order or said a word to us. Upon ordering sandwiches, we discovered that not a thing comes with a sandwich or burger, all side dishes are extra, so that was surprising. We waited another 20 min to get the few things ordered and again didn't see the waitress till she dropped off the check. Nobody to ask is we needed refills on our drinks or anything else . I would absolutely not go here again. Kinda standard practice to offer a side dish with a sandwich or burger, my husband's fish sandwich literally had a bun and the fish ...not a thing else, it was lucky he requested tarter sauce when he ordered it or plain as day it would have been. Didn't feel friendly and overpriced for how they served the meal...go to a local buffet and pay a little more ..you'll get a great meal at a fair price. A smile and quick ask from a waitstaff goes a long way...just sayin.."
