"Excellent experience. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly staff member. They were not pushy either when we said we needed time to look. We said we were from out of town and they even advised us not to use a cooler on our cherry pies as they would get soggy. The food and display were amazing."
"We placed a catering order for pies for our daughter's wedding reception that was held in October. The pies were to be delivered to the venue in the mid-afternoon but due to some unforeseen issues, the pies did not arrive until just a few minutes prior to the meal. I was assured from the moment I walked in to the reception venue that it was being handled, and it was. The pies were beautiful, all of them delicious and very fresh. No issues whatsoever with the quality of the ingredients or taste, etc. We had ordered 7 different varieties and it was hard to choose a favorite! I would like to especially thank Jenn, the Portage store manager, for going above and beyond with this particular situation and our pie order. Some things happen that you just can't control; people are human beings, life happens and sometimes things don't go exactly as planned. We did appreciate that Jenn ensured that the pies arrived in time for the reception as originally planned. Thank you!"
"Customer service is really lacking here. We walked in and had to wait 5-10 minutes before the employee would even wait on us…she had to finish wrapping up bread for their retail section. The pies looked and tasted like they had been sitting there for a couple days. No one even offered to warm up our quiche. The salad and dressing was awful. We ordered fountain drinks and found out there was no ice. The employees checked the ice machine and saw it was turned off. Turned it back on and assured our drinks would still be cold. Nope. They were warm. So we drank warm sodas while eating our subpar food and pie. We brought it to their attention about the warm sodas and they only offered cold drinks that were in their fridge to us AFTER we were finished with our meals. No manager on duty either."
"I ordered the coconut cream pie, blueberry crumble, pecan, as well as cherry crumble. Coconut had good flavor but was a tad dull 3.5 out of 5. Blueberry i had paired with ice-cream and found very nice 4.2 out of 5. The pecan pie was almost disappointing 2.8 out of 5. The cherry i found to be verry tart i would give it a 3 out of 5. Prices were reasonable and i would shop again."
