"I recently visited this restaurant for a late evening dinner. I can tell you I was very happy with my choice. I was seated with a smile and my waitress was outstanding. My waitress recommended the Walleye special. I was very pleased with the choice. Food was outstanding the whole staff was so enjoyable and all of them were customer focused. I know everyone has there own opinion but I'm sure you will be pleased. I know it will be my go to next time I'm in South haven again. Thank you for being there."

"We had much hesitation due to previous reviews but we didn’t let that deter our dinner plans! Our waitress was knowledgeable about the dishes, very personable and attentive. The atmosphere is quaint & cozy- The ravioli & spaghetti dishes were menu delights! Can't wait to come back!"

"On our first(and last) visit to Tello we had a horrific experience. We were in downtown South Haven for the towns first Boo Bash. We arrived about 5:15 pm and were seated right away. We ordered our drinks and all was fine. We inquired about the calamari frita(we asked if it was breaded) for an appetizer. Ten minutes later the waitress brings out shrimp scampi and sets it in front of my wife. We stopped her and said we didn't order this. We told her we wanted to order the calamari. So we finally get the calamari, and order our entrees. About a half hour later the waitress comes up to me and asks "can you tell me what you ordered again?" Long story short, when the people that arrived a half hour later than us got their food before us, I put the money on the table for our drinks and appetizer and we walked out."

"We were there on a Wednesday evening. Ordered the calamari for an appetizer. Couldn’t eat it. The calamari was tough as tough can be. At the same time we ordered the appetizer we also ordered seafood. Had we known how awful the calamari was going to be we wouldn’t have ordered another dish with way too much calamari. Butternut ravioli was drenched in olive oil. We will never return even though the food was taken off our bill. The restaurant was very loud as well."

"Great service and great food! We went on a Saturday night around 7, there was a little bit of a wait but not too unreasonable. The kitchen was allergy certified and they were extremely cooperative with adhering to our party's dietary restrictions. Pictured is the pan roasted fresh fish, chicken marsala (the special for the night) and tiramisu."
