"After reading reviews we decided to try the prime rib. Waited for a bit to get a table the girl was hustling to clean one but didnt want the high top so we got sat down in other waitress section. She was extremely slow. We ordered prime asked for it to be put on flame broiler cooked medium. She placed our order. 10 min i got my salad. That was good it took 20 min. For husband to get his soup than 2 minutes later the prime comes out cold. The waitress had nerve to ask me how we asked for it cooked. I said medium and flamebroiled. Oh she forgot. Back goes meat. Comes out warm but tough as leather. Couldnt get any drink refills. Took all meat home and made stew today to tenderized it. I would not recommend this place at all. I will never go back. Pictures on internet are not what you get. Oh i have to mention the pathetic 2 pieces of bread served with oil?? Gross. The bread was 1/2 thick and smaller than a baseball! 2 pieces was all we got. I took a picture but cant post it on here."

"We went w friends and it was prime rib night. The meat was delicious but their Fox Den potatoes were not. It did come w a generous dinner salad. Our waitress was very nice, but it took her 4 tries to get our checks right. She seemed very confused the entire time. Atmosphere?! There is none. It's like someone built a pole barn and said, "hey, let's put a restaurant in here!". The acoustics are terrible. So if you're looking for some decent prime rib and can tolerate the other stuff, give it a try!"

"I took my dad to the races for Father’s Day, and we decided to stop at The Fox Den for dinner on the way. We were all very glad that we did! I love my bacon cheeseburgers, and the Foxy is probably one of the biggest ones I’ve ever had!! I could only eat half! And it was sooo good! The onion rings are to die for! Dad had the fried shrimp dinner, and he said it was delicious! He really loved the fries. Lily had the chicken fingers, and she was really happy with them! And they have Widowmaker on tap! I highly recommend stopping here if you’re in Houghton Lake. We might just make the trip back to try the fried ice cream!!"

"Have been looking forward to our first visit and it did not disappoint. Friendly service & the food was fresh, hot & delishous. Sorry had half of mine eaten before I took the pic. Fish sandwich & Steak n Shrimp. Definitely recommed."
