"First we went to the north beach and the woman working told us she couldn't make a grilled cheese because she was worried there would be a rush of people. I have never seen more than one person ordering in all the times I have been here. That place is a ghost town. We decided to walk down to the south beach location to see if they offered a grilled cheese. They do not. We decided instead to try the macaroni and cheese and an order of funnel fries. Macaroni and Cheese: We asked for a description of the macaroni and cheese and were told, "it's mac and cheese." Not helpful, but we decided to give it a try. The portion is laughable. They give you basically a dixie cup of Mac and cheese. For the price, its ridiculous. It wouldnt fill up a five year old. It's more of restaurant style mac and cheese. The cheese is kind of spicy. To me it tasted like it had some jalapeño flavor to it. Not something we would order if we had known. Funnel Fries: They used to offer regular funnel cake here with your choice of different toppings. We both thought the old funnel cake was better, but these are bad and my guess is they are easier to make. They don't offer all the topping anymore, but you get a decent portion and it comes with a little container of icing or frosting; I'm not sure. They are lightly coated in cinnamon sugar. After ordering, they might give you a buzzer caked with sand to notify when your food is ready. You can sit at one of the tables covered with melted ice cream and sauce that desperately needs to be wiped down."

"As a family, we have tried all of the sliders this summer and we are big fans! The Aloha and Chicken Club are so yummy. Our kids are obsessed with the funnel cake fries, big pretzels & paninis. So nice to have different options at each end!"

"I'm not sure why the concessions changed from the old Sunset Side Concessions to The Sandbox. The old concessions were perfectly fine and everyone in my family liked it. Now we can't even get basic concession stand food like nachos, popcorn. or slushies. I got pretzel but it wasn't the same as the old one and they gave barely any cheese. The food menu is not very kid friendly besides the basic ice cream treats. Overall, The Sandbox is pretty disappointing."

"Could not recommend enough - not what you would think of when you think of concession food - in a good way! Everything tasted out of this world. They were super busy (hot Saturday afternoon) but was impressed with turnaround time! We got just about 1 thing from every category on the menu and was drooling. Only took a pic of dessert. All of my starving babies and hubby dug right in to the food! 10/10 would recommend - we will be back!"

"The food was hot and delicious. I ordered pulled pork and sweet potato fries. The girls who served me were awesome and sweet. What could be better than having a nice dinner with an amazing view of the lake. It's pretty cool for an out-of-towner. I definitely recommend!"
