My son found what appeared to be a diamond, and when we stopped in, she taught my kids all about how assessing jewelry and gems works, unfortunately it was cubic zirconia. But she explained the difference between the two stones to my kids and took so much time to engage with my children. "I had a few watches repaired and wedding bands cleaned / resized. It was a total positive experience. I had a few watches some nicer and some cheapo ones that needed a new battery. When I picked them up, they could not change the battery (totally fine, in the past other jewelers have had issues too) but the associate effectively told me to replace it with a 'real watch'. Which I understand because it was a hipster $60 all wooden watch but it was a gift from my mother, so it just landed a little weird. But my wife and I have had positive experiences there."
