"It wouldn't let me put ZERO stars. My loan got transferred to newrez and their customer service is terrible. I can't even get anyone on the phone. They send predatory letters threatening to charge for hoa insurance when all my stuff is up to date. I emailed my cert over to them and I can't get anyone to acknowledge it was received."

"Completely unprofessional, incompetent the worst mortgage company I’ve ever dealt with do not work with their customers. I’ve never taken a loan out with this company. My loan was sold to them never missed a payment in my life every time I’m a day late they are harassing me. Even if that’s how my checks fall. I’ve called to change my payment date they refuse unless I take out a new loan even though I never had an agreement with them in the first place"

"They sent me uninformative, unnecessarily threatening letters when my HOA insurance information was outdated and when my condo insurer didn't list the unit #. Good phone service doesn't make up for the threatening letters caused by small clerical errors, particularly when the subject of the threat didn't even make the error. But at least they didn't rebrand themselves as "Mr. Cooper" like my last mortgage servicer."

"I agree with everyone else that gave a review. This is a terrible mortgage scam. I was reading the reviews and I have a claim and newrez is on the check. NO WAY I’m not sending it to them . They have million excuses why not to get things done. I need to go back to chase mortgage at least they have their banks in every town you live in. My biggest problem and mistake. Newrez"

"Absolutely a terrible company. I have had nothing but issues with this company. The help that you receive from their customer service via email or otherwise is pathetic. I truly would not recommend this company to anyone, ever. They do not report your payment history correctly, they do not reply to your calls or emails, and their mistakes on mortgage documents is absolutely unacceptable. The 1 star reviews are too generous for this company. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this company at all costs, and if you fall into a situation like I did where your mortgage was sold to them, DOCUMENT EVERY WORD FROM THEM AND ONLY WORK WITH THEM VIA EMAIL AND NOT A PHONE CALL. There are YouTube videos and BBB information online further detailing how to properly handle this company."
