"I was selected for an incubator program with MORTAR a couple years ago. I had a lot of the resources and skill I needed on the creative end of my business, but close to 0 knowledge when it came to actually getting up and running from a marketing/business perspective. The people behind MORTAR are some of the most passionate, kind and genuinely helpful people I know. Even though it's been almost two years since I graduated their program, they still are in contact often with opportunities for my photo business, motivation and general checking in to see how things are going. I'm so thankful I had the opportunity to go through this program. Not only was I able to start my freelance photography business with their help, but I made valuable friendships and connections through my classmates, class facilitator and the speakers who visited our class each week.
