Guardian Savings Bank

"I have been a customer of GSB for two decades. I would have switched a long time ago but this bank had a lot of my ACH payments in place and I didn't want to hassle with it but I'm done! This bank is so antiquated it's horrible. Guardian has no ATMs , if you have issues on the weekend you leave a vm with a manager who calls you back on Monday!! Several times through the years (today is the most current one) someone had tried to hack my account. I had no idea until I went to pick up prescriptions and was told my bank card was locked!! I called the manager and asked for the VP to call me as it will take a week at least to get a replacement card. EVERY other bank will replace a card upon walking in. This is unacceptable as I can't wait for a week! Waited all afternoon for the VP to call me - deafening silence of course. Get your money out of this bank!!"

"10/07/22 WARNING This bank is under a change of it's mobile app? A different app appears in the app store. NO NOTICE is given or explanation on Guardian web page as to a change or safety of a new app. Call the bank and only one person is dealing with all the phone calls. That person only works 3 days a week. The replacement person does not have access to the phone mail system. West Chester office is frustrated with all the phone calls about the same complaints. Is this appropriate customer service?"

"Horrible corporate customer service. I was one day - ONE DAY - late on a loan payment I've had for over a decade with them and they turned me over to collections. ONE DAY LATE in over 10 YEARS! When I called to see why, I was given the most condescending speech by some entitled man lecturing me on when the loan payment was due. Really? Find another bank who won't talk to you like you're a miscreant toddler. Take your business elsewhere."

"I had an excellent experience working with Guardian, and specifically my loan officer Ben Montoya. I built a new house and Ben worked with me for over a year to make sure the entire process was smooth and easy. I had many questions and Ben was always able to answer them and help me feel comfortable during the long construction timeline. I ended up using some non-standard loan products thanks to Ben's advice and I wouldn't have known about these options without his help. I have already referred several others to this bank and I plan to use Ben for all my future mortgage needs."

"Absolutely the worst and in my opinion thieves! It was a complete struggle the entire time trying to closed the loan. Had major issues with our loan officer. He kept trying to pressure us to cash out our 401Ks. He even threaten to fight my father and is still employed with the bank. The loan closed in May. Our builder backed out in August. 9 months after the closing the bank canceled our construction loan. I was even told I could self contract or find another builder and had 2 years to get it complete. Top it off they didn't refund any of the almost 6k of closing fees including points I paid for a lower interest rate. Run far away from this bank!"
