"I've had the privilege of assisting an elderly neighbor for 8 years. One of his monthly stops was at times, to CheckSmart in Harrison, OH. I was very skeptical at first. Let's face it, that industry (payday loans/quick loans, etc) has a very BAD reputation. And, usually very unscrupulous. Much to my pleasant surprise, I witnessed first hand how well they took care of my neighbor and friend with his short term and longer term financial needs. They always made sure to take the time to make sure that He and His wife understood all of the terms. I grew quite protective of my neighbor and his wife. But, I could always rely on the staff to take care of them with dignity and respect. Most importantly, they helped him review his budget to help insure that he wasn't in over his head. The staff was always kind, courteous and patient. In particular I was impressed with how the staff worked hard to assist him in his time of need when money was particularly tight during the holidays for him and his wife. The staff worked with him on payment arrangements that he could afford. Many other agencies in the field could definitely take a lesson from this organization and particularly this branch in Harrison, OH. Outstanding service!"
