"My family (my husband, myself and our three year old who happens to love golf) came out for our usual family golf outing. We paid for two golfers- my son and my husband. Naturally, as my son is three it takes a little bit longer. But he comes with his little golf glove and his little clubs ready for fun. He got bored towards the middle of our nine rounds so I took his spot as we spent the money on two people. I was using my husbands clubs and I am a beginner so I was taking a little bit longer. But we did not think it was an issue as the wait at each tee was at least 5 minutes. The golf club was packed today. Clearly there were errors in booking the tee times on valley woods part. I mean literally we waited behind at least two carts at every tee. We didn’t complain, we just waited our turn. At hole 7 a gentleman who works for the golf club rudely comes over and begins to yell at us, telling us we are moving too slow and we need to pick it up. I was a bit taken back as nobody spoke to the other carts in front of us. The golfers behind us let us know that he stopped and asked them if we offered for them to play through. We did not as we were waiting at every hole, as I mentioned above. My husband told him that we waited at every single hole- a complaint we heard from every person we waited with so we slowed down a bit to prevent hovering over the golfers in front of us. He completely disregarded him and drove away. He was clearly annoyed that a family was out here golfing, and they took a little longer. Completely discriminatory against families trying to get out and have a fun time together on a Tuesday afternoon. It’s disappointing. Valley wood messed up the tee times then wanted to target a family for the pace of play being off. I felt so embarrassed and anxious after that, I just stopped taking my turn and my husband quickly went through the next two holes so we could leave. Until we got to the 9th hole because again we had to wait behind two carts. Shocking. It’s so disappointing as we play here often during the summer. I knew the gentleman who approached us was known for being rude but man, I wasn’t expecting that. So families that are trying to get out and learn a sport together at a public golf course, I would recommend avoiding this place. They don’t want families here. Unless you’re a 50 year old man or woman with golf experience this isn’t the course for you."

"The cost of the round was $27 for a Monday morning tee time. The course is well maintained and an Arthur Hills design. The greens were in good shape for early in the season and not to difficult to read. I like the elevated tees and greens throughout the course. The clubhouse is well kept. The restrooms were very clean. The carts are in great shape. The carts are electric with self setting brakes. I appreciate the course pole yardage markers and ground markers for closer shots. The mowers were respectful of the golfers and stopped mowing near tee boxes and greens, when we were getting ready to make a shot. I will put this is on top of my list for courses in great shape that won't brake the bank. I am not sure about speed of play as the season ramps up. I usually golf early tee times to avoid slow afternoon drinking groups."
