Vs1 nails and spa

"Unfortunately, a very poor experience — the worst I have ever had at a nail salon. I appreciated that they were able to take a Saturday afternoon walk-in (acrylic fill) but I did wonder why they had so few people being serviced. Now I understand why. I have never paid more than $50 for a fill at a nail salon (before tip). Perhaps some may pay more for nail design, but not for a standard fill. I checked the pricing brochure before being taken in to be sure that the price was agreeable. The brochure said $30+ for fill, $35+ for powder fill. With a powder fill and pink tips, you can imagine why I would be shocked to hear my total cost coming to $60! I began to ask for a price breakdown, and was told that I was charged for the shape of my nail (almond)! Never in my life have I had a salon charge for shaping your nails. This is a basic piece of nail service! I then asked where it mentioned any costs for nail shape and was told “it’s not in there”. Well, where is it then? I’ve returned home and wish I would have simply paid for what I was told I would pay for, and nothing more. The pink tips are also just not appealing. Squiggly lines, areas not filled in.. etc. I had to ask multiple times that several nails be touched up because they looked so bad. I hate to sound harsh, but there really are no other words I feel adequately describe the way they looked. At one point, I felt badly being “difficult” and offered to just do it myself. I will always politely deal with aesthetic issues (it’s worth noting that I’m pretty basic when it comes to my nails). But the dishonest pricing is something else entirely. The final straw before me deciding I will NEVER be going back was this: the sign posted on their front desk said that you receive an %8 discount if you pay with cash. When they “lowered” the cost for me from $60 for a fill to $55, I figured my final cost would be around $52. Instead, my “total plus tax” came out to $69! So for $70 I have a fill with nails that are honestly embarrassing if anyone were to look too closely at them. I also had my nail nipped a few times - it was painful. When you have your nails done, you should: 1. Know what you are paying for UP FRONT. No hidden charges 2. Be able to relax knowing that the professional doing your nails will leave them looking nice - not like a young child painted them I will never go back here. It’s unfortunate since I was looking for a regular salon and live so close. I’ll be letting those I know be aware of the dishonest practices happening here as well. Add-on: If they are offering a discount of %8 for using cash, then the credit card service fees have to be at least 8% if not greater — for them to actually be saving anything. I highly doubt that high a percentage which makes me think they are preferring cash for other, more shady reasons like being able to operate off the books. I hope this salon is examined by the health dept and IRS - I am sure there are some good people working here but the dishonest nature of the ones I met today leaves me hoping they get what they put out into the world."

"I've gone to them over a few months now and my nails have always come out nice and last forever. I took my male friend with me who wanted to have his toenails painted. He was really excited about it too. He asked about it and they ignored him. When I brought it up, they started making gay jokes to me about him. I'm livid. It was totally unprofessional and rude. I won't be going back. Anyone looking for an lgbt+ friendly salon, definitely don't bother with this place!!"

"They were able to accommodate me know on a busy Sunday. My nail technician did a decent job on my toes. But.. She drilled, scrapped, cut, removed (idk what you call it) .. Skin from around two toes. They started bleeding and she used a nail antiseptic to stop bleeding. But they still hurt so bad.. I can barely wear shoes."

"Let me start by saying I have been coming for years to have acrylic nails put on never had a problem. This time I actually grew my own nails which were strong and long and I’ve had them for about 8 months. I called Friday ask do you do shellac and will you not use the electric filers on my nails I was told yes. That is 2 lies I went in I said 4 times not to use the electric file. She says you have nice strong nails well I did. I asked her at least a dozen times if she is using the shellac she said yes well it was gel polish. I have been upset crying my nails are breaking and they bend I was worried that this was going to happen. Why would you do this. Not only that the gel polish was literally off my nail on my skin I sat trying to fix it for about 2 hours. I was going to call but I’m afraid to loose my cool. I want an explanation"

"The worst experience of all time . I came in with a party of three and we couldn’t even sit together to get a pedi and full set it was atlest 7 employees how were not working . They set me down in the pedi chair the water was so hot I informed them . The lady turned the water back on and forgot it was on and it overflowed on the floor on my shoes now they are ruined and I didn’t even get an analogy. My friend was done with her nails and was set in the chair to get her pedi and I literally set there until her pedi was done 35 mins and still no service . By the time they set me In the chair to get my full set my friend was completely done . My nail color does not match my toe polish . He cut my finger and told me it was because of my cuticles I told him it’s below my cuticles he didn’t care no sorry . My finger was bleeding the whole time I had to stop it by applying pressure. The full set was definitely rushed I would never recommend this place the worst service ever ."
