"Do not expect your money back. We lived here for a year and it was ok except. Our room was super cold it was a basement apt and we paid full money In winter the heater was not working for 3 weeks and we had to beg them to make alternate arrangements for us. It costed us health challenges and medical bills At the end, we worked our back off to clean the apt, but they still charged us for cleaning fee and for damages which is unacceptable. Me and wife had back ache cleaning up everything before leaving but maybe we should have left everything as it is given these kind of charges. You make your choice if you want to stay Response to Winchester Woods: I have stayed in several apt for now and never had the apt owners charge so much money for unjustified portions. You can refer to the condition which yiu have given us and we gave you back, and go to your lease, except carpet cleaning nothing else is justified. Have some transparency"

"I lived here for 2 years and it is definitely the best apartment complex to live in Wooster. The property manager, Lora, is very kind and always responded to maintenance requests ASAP. Even when my A/C went out in 94 degree heat, they gave me a portable AC unit until mine was fixed so I didn't melt. The area/apartment is very clean, maintained, and EXTREMELY quiet (I could count the times I've heard neighbors on one hand in two years). Residents mostly keep to themselves but if/when you run into them they are kind. There were times I had to reach out concerning some rowdy residents, and it was handled. Overall an excellent, affordable place to live; you can tell the property manager/company actually care about the residents and don't try to cut corners."

"I see a lot of reviews here talking about Winchester Woods' slow response and failure to fix things that need done in the apartments. I lived at Winchester for 2 years with my wife and never had that issue. My garbage disposal broke and when I called the office maintenance had a brand new one installed in about an hour. My dishwasher also wasn't working and maintenance had that installed very quickly as well. The pilot on my water heater went out serval times (not a big deal because it just needs to be lit again) and maintenance was always there in about 5 or 10 minutes. The fan in the master bedroom's shower went out and it was replaced quickly. I have no complaints with maintenance or management's timely response to fix things. However, I have to give Winchester 3 stars based on negative experiences we had with our neighbors. I lived on the ground level with my wife and during the time we were there I believe we went through 3 different neighbors living above us. As with any apartment, some noise coming through the walls or floors is expected and acceptable. We experienced very little noise and no problems with our first 2 neighbors. However, the last neighbors we had caused many problems. They were very loud and disrespectful. They would play music, yell and scream after "quiet hours." Sometimes this would last until 3 or 4 in the morning. We kept calling management about this and I took a video for proof but nothing happened. They would say that they would take care of it and I think after the 4th or 5th time we called they started saying that they were going to give them a final warning. I think they had about 3 final warnings. Through the entire process of reporting our neighbors to management we were always told not to call the cops. Eventually management basically said "we don't care, call the cops" and we decided to give up and move out. It's sad that management never decided to take action and deal with this because we were told by maintenance that other neighbors were complaining as well. Other than that issue, Winchester Woods is quiet from the surrounding areas and you don't have to worry about theft or any safety issues. If it wasn't for the issue with our neighbors and management failing to fix the problem I would've given them 5 stars."

"I lived at Winchester Woods for 2 years with my fiancé and our daughter and we have nothing but positive things to say about living there. Management and maintenance were friendly, helpful and professional at all times. Our apartment was very clean and in tip top shape when we moved in. We did not experience any loud or rude neighbors. Of course you will hear some things here and there living in an apartment, but overall it was pretty calm and quiet. Our favorite features of these apartments were the balcony, two bathrooms, and the perfect location. These apartments are located within walking distance of Aldi, Dollar General, a couple of gas stations, Planet Fitness, etc. There is also a side walk and bike path just outside of the parking lot. We would have happily stayed here if we weren’t moving out of state and we would 10/10 recommend these apartments to anyone looking for an affordable and conveniently located apartment in Wooster."

"My now husband and I lived here for about 3 years (August 2012-March 2015) and found it to be a great starter apartment. The standard rental is a two bed, two bathroom place with a comfortable kitchen and large pantry. If you are looking to live on your own or with another person, this is a great and affordable option. You can have a cat, but no dogs, with a small fee. I believe 2 washers and 2 dryers can be found in each building of 12 apartments. We never had issues with noise but did struggle with repair completion and communication with the property manager. One of the dryers in my building never really worked and no matter how many times it was "fixed" it never dried clothes. But! To their credit, when my refrigerator died, they had one in the next day. All apartments come with a carport for resident usage."
