Lake Diane Retreat

"We came to Lake Diane Retreat to celebrate my 70th birthday with our children and grandchildren. The house was spacious and clean. All 11 of us ages 4-72 could spread out into our own section of the house. We used the kayaks and canoe frequently, but we really enjoyed the pontoon boat we rented from John. All of us could fit on the boat and we took relaxing tours of the lake as well as fishing adventures. Our youngest grandchildren enjoyed playing in the sand on the beach and wading into the water. We enjoyed meals on the deck using the grill near the house and at the water's edge at the pavilion using the grill down there. There was also plenty of seating to eat inside if the weather won't allow for outdoor dining. The indoor pool was great for the entire family. It is chilly, but once you get moving you adjust. We enjoyed several games of water volleyball. I must say having a bathroom right near the pool is a great idea. This house is roomy, well stocked, contains activities for all ages, and sits in a beautiful setting on Lake Diane."

"We very much enjoyed our week at Lake Diane Retreat. The house is lovely and very comfortable for our family (6 adults and 5 children ages 4 to 11). We spent most of our time down at the lake. There is a lovely covered pavilion, a nice beach, and our entire family spent lots of time there. There were so many activities for all of us. We enjoyed the pontoon, the kayaks, the canoe, the paddleboat, and the kids loved the swim platform and wet slide. Swimming, boating and relaxing and a lovely home to go back to at the end of the day. We also enjoyed having fires in the fire pit and many smores were consumed during our week. We highly recommend Lake Diane Retreat!"

"Excellent and friendly hosts!! Home is spacious, beautiful, and delightfully decorated. The view of the lake is beautiful in the early morning, perfect for early birds who like to sip their coffee and watch the sunrise. Their amenities are generous, plenty of space for big groups. I would highly reccomend choosing this home for your family vacation!!!"

"Loved the house and all the amenities! 10 people, 3 generations. Very detailed information packet. Linens included, bring your own towels. Kitchen very well equipped. Kids really loved the lake slide, boats, game tables in the garage and pool. We did too! We didn't leave the house because there was so much to do! Enjoyed our meals and evenings in the pavilion by the water. Kayaks, paddleboat were used daily. If you do want a local hike, the 2 1/2 walk around Lake La Su An in Ohio was very nice! Just a couple miles from the house."

"We recently rented the “Lake Diane Retreat” for our annual family vacation. There were 9 adults and 2 kids (ages 11 and 8). The house and property are beautiful and very spacious. I loved that all the bedrooms, kitchen and living area were all on the main floor of the house. The kitchen in the lower level was also an added bonus. The pavilion down by the lake was really great and that is where we spent most of our time. The kids loved the swim platform and slide (as well as the adults). The owner has all the amenities that you need and is very responsive to your needs. He is very meticulous and takes great pride in his property. The lake itself is beautiful and was not busy, which was awesome. The sandy beach area was a pleasant addition. The cement driveway all the way down to the pavilion was great as I use a scooter for mobility. Unfortunately we did have a couple of mishaps so I was thankful we purchased the insurance.
