"*UPDATED REVIEW* My first experiences with Hippler were good, but after their practice moved into the new Lakewood space, I noticed a change and have since looked for dental care elsewhere. My last appointment felt very pushy and centered on the upsell of services, etc. including insistent referrals to a specific orthodontist to have all of my wisdom teeth removed at 40 years old (even though that was unrelated to my visit and I wasn't, and had never been, experiencing issues with them). I left feeling totally unnerved, like my gums and teeth were in terrible condition and that I was on the brink of a medical emergency if I didn't have major orthodontic surgery immediately. I'd prefer to work with a dentist who doesn't use scare tactics to get me in for more appointments and instead works with me to correct any issues in a compassionate way. **original review** I don't often write reviews, but Hippler Family Dentistry is so excellent I had to. I called them about my 11-year-old son's tooth ache and they got us in the next day, as new patients. All the staff were genuinely kind and courteous and very thorough. He needed to have 2 fillings and a baby tooth extracted and they were able to take care of everything immediately after his cleaning. My son felt comfortable and is doing great. Throughout the visit, I never felt pressured for any sort of 'up-sell' on services (as I have in the past at other dental practices) and we felt listened to. Dr. Fitz even called late in the evening to check on him. We will absolutely be patients here for a long time. Highly recommend!"

"I had no dental pain. Was told I needed a crown because of an X-ray issue, but never explained to me exactly why, I ended up with constant severe pain after the crown then out of nowhere was told I needed a root canal. Got the root canal. First permanent crown didn’t fit, second crown was told it fit but I was back in constant pain, adjusted the bite but I still can’t chew on that side without terrible pain. 6 months of back and forth with this place and I’m still having pain for a procedure I don’t think I even needed. Sorry long story. The one dental hygienist is lovely (he gets a star). After my experience I would not go here for anything other than a cleaning. If they recommend dental work get a second opinion."

"I recently returned to Hippler Family Dentistry after moving back into the area as I had always had a great experience in the past. Somehow the experience got even better! They use the newest and most advanced dental equipment, have an incredible new space, and most importantly cleaned my teeth in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. Very happy to be back!"

"Disgusting. They have a bucket of molded impressions above a hot sink in the "sterile" room that they will put back in your mouth. And the lathe has never been cleaned or replaced-the thing that polishes your crowns, dentures, partials, nightguards, anything like that- so every patients spit since she bought it is soaked in it and she's delivering it back to you without cleaning. Disgrace to dentistry and no care for someones health."

"Dr Hippler has been my dentist for decades. She has always had wonderful hygienists. Between the two the care is phenomenal. No issue goes unnoticed and uncared for. It is gentle dentistry. My now grown children grew up going to Dr Hippler, pain free. This is a family business and you get excellent care and feel like part of the family. I would highly recommend this group!"
