"Be careful when buying jewelry from them. They just started putting “Origin Undetermined” on diamonds after I questioned the owner of EBTH about a diamond I bided on and won. I refused the auction when I felt uncomfortable with his explanation. I believe they allow retail jewelers to use their website to sell lab grown diamonds (not from a true estate). Just be careful. When they put “origin undetermined” you can bet the diamond is not from an estate and is from a jewelry dealer or retailer. Probably a color/heat “treated” lab grown diamond."
"Stay away. Absolutely terrible. Doesn't respond to questions about auction items. Outrageous shipping on small easy to pack items. If you don't pick up immediately they charge huge storage fees per the week. Communication is poor you tell them not so ship and then they ship a small light item for $50. I buy a lot from online auctions and never had an experience as bad as with this auction house. Really shady."
"apprehensive due to the reviews & distance, i decided to pull the trigger anyway on a few art pieces. it took me about an hour + drive. consequently, i was given a parking spot, and waited for about 10 minutes tops. a warehouse employee rolled a table up on wheels and presented my items. i do wish it was more carefully placed on the table, but it’s alright. i had a great experience personally but i’m also a semi-local (just moved from d.c.). i don’t think i’d personally have anything shipped but that’s personal preference. overall, it was great."
"Awful experience. Recently bought 2 lots of porcelain figurines. Both lots arrived broken. Contacted EBTH, assigned a case for each lot but that is all, never refunded money. Beware, don't buy fragile items from EBTH because you are going to loose everything. I am EBTH customer for a long time, used to get my items in a good condition but something changed with the company. Never are going to buy from them again."
"I don't recommend this company for selling items. Like other reviewers have said, I mostly had furniture items on there. I didn't expect a couple of items to go for much. But even all of the items combined didn't even cover the cost to have the items moved. So I literally got zero dollars for an entire bedroom set, computer stand, entertainment center and other items. It wasn't worth the time and effort and I would never use this company again."
