"I first visited Parkway Automotive to get a second opinion on a potentially very expensive repair at a local competitor who performed a cheap $50 diagnostic on our car while we were getting an oil change. We were soon to drive our van to Virginia, but we were concerned that it was struggling recently while ascending steep hills. Parkway performed a much more thorough diagnostic on our vehicle, test drove it, and asked if they could keep it one more day after having already spent hours looking it over. What was estimated to be over $2,000 in repairs at another shop turned out to be a poor quality oil filter that my previous mechanic failed to change after several opportunities. Parkway placed a high quality filter and some engine oil additive and advised us to take the van on vacation with no worries. It has been over a month and about 2,000 miles since then and the vehicle is operating perfectly. What would have cost thousands ended up costing about $200. Moral of the story, find a qualified, trustworthy mechanic to do a complete diagnostic. You will often save money, fix the problem on the first attempt, and protect your family with a safe, well-maintained vehicle that will last much longer."
