"I thought I stumbled on a good thing when I found Katie’s. I was in search of a wash and fold and Katie’s had good hours, good reviews, and a quick turnaround time. I took clothes for wash and fold 2 or 3 times and had no issues. Unfortunately on my last visit, I discovered that I am missing several items - bodysuits, jeans, socks, joggers, and more. I called several time (as soon as I uncovered the issue) and was told that “this never happens” and that the person who washed my clothes and wouldn’t be back in for a few days. I continued to call and even stopped by in person to no avail. I asked for a call back once that employee returned to work and no one ever reached out. Very disappointing. I’m now in the process of reordering the items for my wardrobe (a double financial hit, since I paid for clothes to be washed that weren’t returned) and a disappointing one as well. As a result, would not recommend. Even a call back would have been appreciated but…nothing. Lots of “this never happens” though, when it was, in fact, happening in real time."

"Came in for the first time today. Place was busy and seemed like a popular spot. I found the quarter machines and put cash in to get quarters. A lady came out from the back yelling at me asking if I was doing laundry there. This is my first and last time coming to this place. She made me feel unwelcome and honestly just very confused, the quarter machines are there for the customers, no?? Last time coming here."

"best laundromat ever! i moved to lakewood a little over a year ago and i’ve come to Katie’s nearly every week since, at first just because of it being so peaceful and clean and easy. I haven’t used their do-it-for-you services yet, but the customers I’ve seen picking up their laundry seem highly satisfied and always leaving happy. Pricing is relatively cheap compared to other places I have been, and I love the loyalty card - much easier than using pounds of quarters when you’ve got a lot of clothes to wash. I also just wanted to say for this night in particular, the girl working tonight with the glasses and piercings was so incredibly sweet and a pleasure to have there. I was so embarrassed when I couldn’t get my detergent out of the vending machine that I just wasn’t going to say anything and leave it be, but she noticed me struggling in frustration and came right out to help, and help she did. I hope to see her again, she’s just a delight!"
