TIPS TOES AND BEYOND

"The first photo is the station as I walked up to sit down and begin my gel manicure. I should have just turned around and left then. This station was filthy. The tech did not introduce herself! She did not ask my name. I started to tell her that I have a medical condition that makes my nails extremely weak, and that they are paper thin. She told me “I got it” and started to file away…I did pull my hand away which she then admonished me not to do! She did not have cuticle oil, and used some light lotion to try to scrape my cuticles back, which didn’t work. There was no soaking of my nail beds at all. She cut TWO cuticles and did absolutely no trimming on the side of any of my nails-not a one. She used a cuticle scissor that was already sitting at her station! No solution, no sterile tray, etc. She then put some Jergens lotion (I know that smell) on the top of my hands and rubbed it around for MAYBE 30 seconds. She then buffed my nails a little bit with that same buffer in the first photo. She then told me to wash my hands?! I could see washing them when I arrived or even after the polish was cured, but I just washed off any lotion she had just applied! WTH? The polish color was wrong (looked pale blue and came out gray) and when we couldn’t find what I wanted, I just chose a pink. She acted very frustrated about having me “change my mind”. This manicure was awful. The tech acted put-out from the start, she had a dirty station, did not ask my name or introduce herself. She did not do the manicure in the proper order (lotion before polish), and was frustrated when she had to wait about the color. You can see the base/top coat on the sides of my nails, along with the pieces of my skin/hangnails that should have been trimmed. After she was done, I paid $40 and left without my water cup I brought with me. It was a 20-25 min drive home and I called asap. The woman who answered the phone confirmed that my cup was there and told me just to come back to get it. I asked her to hold it for a day or two and she wanted to know until when, saying “we don’t have room to just hold onto people’s cups”. Rude, unsanitary, careless job. I will never be back."
