"I'm a huge believer in Magic. When I came to Hillsdale for the yearly conference at the college, I thought I knew exactly the types of stores and restaurants would be here. Until I found Checker Records. This is a classic record store with a twist. They serve coffee. Good coffee. Think of this place like a bookstore/coffee joint but with music instead of books. Good music, too. Checker John is the local music guru and along with his wife and a staff of what can only be devotees to the music-coffee cause. Together, they have created a unique space for people to congregate, enjoy some time together over a cup of coffee with great music playing. Go. Enjoy!"
