"Giant Eagle is a great place to do our weekly grocery shopping. The store is bright and clean and always fully stocked. The prices are a good value and you can usually find all of what your looking for. The best value often is there Market District store brand of products. I like that they still have the option of using live checkout clerks at the registers too. Best selection of nutritional supplements in a grocery store as well. Also my wife and daughter enjoy the bath and beauty selection."
"My mom ordered my birthday cake and it was to be white buttercream frosting on almost cake with spring flowers. I didn't know what she had ordered when I picked up the cake for her to take to the party so I just assumed what I got was what I was supposed to get. When I got to my mom's house I thought she was going to have a heart attack. The cake was disturbingly ugly and not at all what was ordered. There was so much cocoa in the frosting it was so overwhelming...it actually made the frosting hard to the point it was almost cracking. My mom did call Giant eagle and in their defense they did say that they would refund the money for the cake and that they were sorry. So they did apologize not to say that my birthday was ruined by a bad cake I'm 48 years old...it just definitely was not the highlight party for sure. We have ordered cakes from Giant eagle before and haven't had a problem. So, because of that, we'll give them another shot...maybe somebody was just having a bad day and that's okay too."
"The place is kept clean and well stocked. The selection is great and I’ve never had a problem finding what I need. Though I typically only get standard groceries, Giant Eagle has a lot to offer in terms of specialty sections (deli, bakery, flowers, pharmacy)."
