"Cozy, modern atmosphere. Great bourbon selection. The manager, Jamal, makes really good drinks - I love his specialty Walking After Midnight (blueberry vodka and red wine, sounded a little crazy to me at first but it's amazing!). Officially my new fav drink. The bartender Kathy is wonderful and really knows what she's doing. I've also been to Rae's for a party, they have karaoke and can provide food too, love it!"
"Wish I could give a 5 star rating for 2 reasons 1.) I want to see downtown businesses succeed 2.) the bartenders were awesome and they deserve to be recognized for the efforts (Titus, Kathy, and a younger bartender )…but I can’t sadly. When we first arrived, drinks were great, atmosphere was perfect, conversation with the bartenders was awesome… THEN, the “manager” arrived and instantly killed the entire vibe. He began verbally correcting nearly every move the bartenders made, calling out orders and directions, and generally displaying the kind of toxic management style that we’ve all experienced at least once in our lives (And look back on and cringe). The “Manager” even corrected the way a bartender made a drink as he was handing to my friend. We heard ALL of this and were appalled. ZERO positive reinforcement was given to the bar staff from the “manager“which is wild because the team was doing great. We could only tolerate about 15 minutes of this before we HAD to leave… but first felt like we needed to apologize to the bartenders for this “manager’s” behavior. Bartenders at Rae’s on Court, you are awesome at what you do! Thank you for making our experience the best it could be, find employment elsewhere where you are respected and appreciated. “Manager” fix yourself, please."
