"Suburban was charging me more than $3.00 per gallon & add more then $20 in fees per delivery . I did my own comparison shopping with other local providers to uncover this massive overcharging by Suburban Propane. Once I called Suburban Propane to let them know this was happening the they came back with a discounted rate for six months that still did not meet the competitors price. So I was with Suburban Propane for less than a year. I recommend everyone doing cost comparison prior to signing up and being gouged."

"I have only had experience with them for propane tanks (grill, heater, etc) and I can’t say enough about their customer service and price! They have for the last few years been filling propane tanks on Friday for a huge discount ($10 as of 2023) from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Usually it’s me and my husband or just me that goes to get them filled. My husband is disabled and had to go on is own on a Friday. They unloaded the tanks, filled the tanks, and reloaded the tanks all without my husband getting out of the car! Very professional and polite! My husband and I have 4 or 5 tanks and make sure they’re all full by the last Friday before Labor Day and we go until the following May on those full tanks. Awesome company for this."

"Office staff cordial, knowledgeable and answered all questions for setting up a new service. ✅ Scheduled a tech to pressure test and look over equipment. ✅ Main office notified and prepayment arranged. Not happy about that. ☹️ Guestimate was off. Would prefer to pay after delivery. Delivery was scheduled for the same day and arrived as scheduled. ✅ Seems competitive pricing."

"I signed up with suburban for my camper several years ago and at the time of signing the contract I told them this was a camper and I would not agree to minimum fill requirements. They told me that they realize this is a camper and its not a house so there would not be any minimum fees just the tank rental fee. Fast forward several years later and I get a call in January asking if I want the tank filled. Obviously I am not going to fill a tank in January when I cannot use it until May. At that time they informed me that they will be charging me a minimum fill since I haven't filled my tank. Well its a little hard to use the propane when the campgrounds were closed during the height of covid, but that didn't matter to them. I have now had to pay over $130 for the rental and the minimum fill price (funny how they still charge all the extra delivery fees and fuel surcharge for just sending the bill when they actually did not do anything). Once this propane tank is empty I will be cancelling my propane service with them, and once my home tank is empty I will probably cancel that one too. I don't like to do business with dishonest companies."

"Crooked company. Moved into our house and tried figuring out our options with payment. Informed us that the monthly payment was based on the previous tenants usage which cost almost the same price for our fill up. Informed them that was not an option. Payed for our fill up and next thing we knew getting calls for a payment. They enrolled us in the monthly payment anyway. Even after speaking to them amd telling them we didn't enroll in this they still insist on this payment. So we have to pay for a charge and not get anything in return. If you have the option don't use this company."
