About the Business

Crains Run Nature Park is a 34-acre park located at 10741 Dayton Cincinnati Pike in Miamisburg, Ohio. Situated at the southern end of the township, the park borders the Great Miami River and offers a serene and natural setting for visitors to enjoy. The park features heavily wooded areas with hiking trails, as well as green space and a four-acre pond where fishing is permitted. There are two shelter houses available for reservations, one overlooking the pond and the other offering scenic views of the river.

In keeping with its nature theme, Crains Run Nature Park does not have electricity or permanent restrooms. However, a portable restroom is located at the south end of the park, just a short walk from the north shelter. Two paved parking lots provide ample parking space for visitors. Additionally, the park is adjacent to a restored canal lock, known as Sunfish Lock, which was built in 1829 as part of the Miami-Erie Canal system and restored by Miami Township in 1990.

Visitors can also access the Route 25/Great Miami Recreation Trail, which runs through the park and follows the banks of the river. For more information about the trail, visitors can visit the Miami Conservancy’s website. Crains Run Nature Park is a popular tourist attraction in the area, offering a peaceful and scenic escape for nature lovers.

"Absolutely a treasure to find. Lovely place. We have to spend a couple months in the area for a kidney transplant and what a delight finding this place so close by to the house we're hoping to rent & The Franklin Church on river street is only a few more blocks down!. The whole area is blessed by God! We seen the most wholesome healthy activities going on! Boys & Girls troops gathering! Families strolling! Fishing! Joyful everlasting smiles all around. So yeah. Nice place........ Remember us in your prayers folks! The Nickols"
