"We came to hike the trails. There was rain the day before and the Sandusky river was high and muddy. Some parts of the trail along river were covered by water. We enjoyed about a 2 mile hike and will return."

"Great nature preserve! Perfect for walking your pups. Great open areas with hills and wooded trails for the adventurous. Riggs and Roge loved it as you can see. Will definitely come back!"

"Lovely! The reviews ain't lying. Meadows, woods, creeks, nature. You'll get a nice variety here. The only thing that leaves me wanting is more! The trails are well maintained and I can tell the bugs aren't starving to death because I made it out unscathed. Bathroom at the beginning and doggie bags so if you're furry friend comes with you there's a place to put their boom boom!"

"This is one of my favorite places in Seneca county.. There are two trailheads and parking lots, both of which can hold about 12 to 15 cars. There is a restroom at the trailhead off 151. There is an upland trail and several lowland trails on both sides of Honey Creek. There are wooded trails, wood bridges and stairs. There are several park map signs and trails are well marked and groomed. Many wildflowers and viewpoints. Excellent nature preserve."

"Do you enjoy hiking through a vastly diverse nature terrain? Want to see meadow land, water, and thick forest paths? If so, then this is a great place for you to explore! Forrest Nature Preserve, located in Southern Seneca County, is a great place to explore and take time away from the normal hustle and bustle of daily life. Throughout the preserve, prepare to experience miles of walking paths through forest land, meadow land, and even the option to walk alongside the river on the creek path (weather and water level permitting). This nature preserve offers two parking lots, one on CR 6 and the other on Infirmary Rd. At one point there was a sturdy made ladder that allowed you to access the park just off the CR 6 parking lot but is no longer available, so, I would recommend using the Infirmary Rd. parking lot for easy access. This park also has clearly marked signs and maps along the way all throughout the park. The maps are widely helpful as they all show the location of exactly where you are within the park as well as the color labeled paths. Each path is labeled by color and if you are unsure if you are on the appropriate path or not all you have to do is simply follow the color coordinated paint markings on the trees to assure that you are going the correct way. In addition to helpful maps and color coordinated trails, this park is equipped with EMS post markers, which is something that you don't always see in nature preserves, so rest assured if you are ever in need of medical assistance while at the park, you will conveniently be able to call for EMS and provide them with your nearest EMS post number. All in all, one terrific park and a great way to experience a vast amount of nature all in one park."
