"I bought and paid for windows and install here in Sept 2023. I was told by the young man, who appeared to be new and the gm did not seem real interested in helping, that it would probably be the first week in Oct. never heard nothing. Went to the store in the middle of Oct to ask what was going on and was told by the GM I don’t know why he would tell you the first week of Oct. I don’t either but that’s what I was told! So I asked about a refund and was told that I could get a refund on the install but the windows I would be stuck with because they were special order. Mind you I was told by the guy that came and measured that they were standard size. Not to mention, you don’t even have the windows yet!! OK Carl! Here it is Nov and still haven’t heard anything. Will be calling corporate, the BBB and my friends husband who happens to be a lawyer as soon as I finish typing this. Who wants windows installed in the dead of winter? You going to pay my gas bill? I doubt it very much. Now when I get their sales ad it goes straight in the trash which is sad because I use to be there at least 2x’s a week. Don’t put your money in their hands because they are not reliable!!"
"I was sold a used return Comfort Zone oil filled electric heater. We I plugged it in I noticed the fan didn't work. After a short while it blew the socket it was plugged into. When I returned the heater and spoke with the manager I stated to him that the negligence of their store putting used mechandise back on the shelf could have cost my family their lives. The manager had no remorse or tried to offer any solution but to refund my money. Needless to say I will not be spending my money at True Value ever. I'm just grateful I caught it before I lost my family and home."
"Prices and selection are good if you don't need anything too special. My issue is the checkout process. Cashier spent 15 mins trying to ring up 1 bag of screws before paging for assistance while a line grew. I eventually left my cart and my items."
