"Although I did not personally visit this salon, my younger sister did. This was just a few weeks ago before her 21st birthday. My sister was very specific with what type of look she was looking for, making it very clear that a brassy, warm tone of blonde just wouldn't do. She made these desires very clear before making an appointment, so as to make sure that the person she was working with would be comfortable with the task at hand. My sister's natural color is very dark blonde/light brown. She has had it colored many times before without any trouble but this time was different. Brandy at Salon Solay managed to give her hair a very brassy/gold appearance, just days before her big birthday bash. We were also disappointed that this look took an entire 5 hours to do. Although Brandy is a nice girl and did attempt to tone her color work (to no avail) we were left dissatisfied overall. We do not mean to write this review in an effort to be rude or take away from business. We just want others to understand that if you are a blonde seeking highlights and/or lowlights, this may not be the colorist for you. It would have saved my sister a lot of time and money if she would have known."
