"We rent the meeting hall for all of our events. They are very reasonable on pricing and the only down side is there is no kitchen. We are able to get in the night before to clean or decorate whatever the occasion may call for. All the kids just love the train cars. The staff is awesome always very friendly. An if you are a history buff there is so much to learn at the museum on Marion history."

"Absolutely good place to railfan. The tower provides for good overhead shots on the CSX Mount Victory and NS Sandusky lines. There's lots of open spots to railfan on 3 of the lines at the station, including on the Columbus subdivision. Even off-property, this place is really great. And just because the place is closed doesn't mean the park isn't. You can still walk around and railfan if you need to. Love it!"

"Vast amount of train history, working tracks viewpoints and much original structure design such as tiled floors."

"Marion Union Station is a very interesting historical landmark, The building is pretty well preserved and if you visit, you are very likely to see multiple trains passing by. This place is extremely interesting, especially if you enjoy learning about or watching railroads. You should be aware, if you are planning on being outside to watch trains pass or while trains are passing, you will likely want some form of ear protection. Trains pass very close to the station and are extremely loud. You can also choose to stay inside when trains are passing (assuming the station is open). Since the building is no longer in active use, there is some decay, but that is to be expected from what is currently a historical structure. The building is filled with lots of old railroad equipment, which is pretty interesting. The most interesting part is the old interlocking tower. If you are able to visit when the interlocking tower is open, I definitely recommend going up there. They have the tower configured so that you can use it like it was still in operation. All the signals and switches work, and trains can be simulated on the track by employees. You will probably have to ask an employee to help you, but it is really cool to see and experience."
