"I love this Museum! What a little hidden gem of a place! I love taking my family to their Come Find Art Sundays. On this one Sunday a month the museum is free, they usually have an artist there and they have an art project to make and take home. We have made small wire sculptures, learned about color theory, and made miniature books. Can’t recommend the museum highly enough."
"This place takes wonderful care of the local river (Buck Creek) that runs right alongside the museum. We hosted a river clean up here and there was hardly any trash! The museum itself is beautiful as well."
"Very narrow field of art. The cost was $10/adult. If you bring younger kids, they had 2-3 small "create" stations. One room had several pieces created by one artist (kind of intriguing, actually. Pictures and some explanation included in this post). One large room (1/2 of that side of the gallery) dedicated to one artist. The other side of the building there was one small room dedicated to recent art works (within the past 10 years or so). Some were interesting, but if you have younger children, some of these artworks could be frightening. Everyone appreciates art in a different way. While I liked some of the art, I felt like the $40 we spent there could have been better spent elsewhere. We spent about 45-60 min there."
"This museum is fantastic. Quiet, quaint and well maintained. We stopped by on a rainy day and were delighted by the art. I took some very close up photos so you can see if you can find them there. They have a glass studio as well as a children's art room. The exhibits were great. I wish the weather was better so that we could have walked a bit outside to see the sculptures."
"So small a museum and it is not even free! Only one side has art displays. Even that, there's a long section with only amateur artists, like they were paintings from a kid art contest. The only nice part is the back of the building, by the creek."
