"The Fair at New Boston is always fun. We look forward to it every year. We have some fun memories of my son and his friend getting conscripted into the newly formed US Navy one year, and all my kids being taken prison by a Native American tribe the next. We have so much watching the live action reenactments (the cannon fire scares the kids every time) and the amount of history learned from a fun family weekend. It is just sad that the Native American history and way of living isn't being portrayed anymore. We miss visiting and learning that part of our history, too."

"Good little park! Relatively clean and some good fishing for the family. I kayak here just to blow off some steam. Great trails!"

"This is a very nice park with lots of short trails. Most of them are in the shade. You can go up to the dam to get a paper trail map and to use a porta-potty. There's a cool water fall here as well."

"It was an absolutely lovely park to visit. There were plenty of places for picnics. The hiking trails were beautiful. They have a historic home on site that can be toured. The park also includes the peckowee battle site. This is a park I would recommend visiting."
