After transferring to Summa for an emergency surgery on a Friday evening, Dr. Scalera's involvement with my mom's care over the weekend set the treatment plan and hope for recovery on a new trajectory. Every time Dr. walked in the room, she was kind, patient, thorough and we knew she was giving my mother expert care. Dr. Scalera ensured my mom that she would follow her through the 6 weeks of IV therapy at an infusion center 1.5 hours away. We think she is an angel on earth!
