"My family has been seeing Doug, NP, for years now. He's great, smart, listens, cares and has an awesome bedside manor. My husband can be a bit difficult but Doug does a great job with him!! I just wish they had better hours."

"I was referred to American Health Network by my wife who had recently been seeing LPN Jessica Ellsesser. I’m self pay and needed to have prescriptions filled. After my first visit I was told to come back in 30 days to check in. I paid $150 to have a 6min telehealth call (where I was asked if I took my own vitals) where she told me basically that I have to go elsewhere and she wouldn’t be changing anything. I paid at the time of my service immediately, however I still received a bill for the full amount in the mail. When I inquired why I was double billed I got an “oops.” Fast forward 6 months to today. I’m leaving the country for work and need 3 of my scripts refilled. I was told by the office that Ellsesser needed to see me before refilling. My annual isn’t up until the end of February and I did not have time nor did they have availability to fit me in prior. Ellsesser never called me, instead refused to fill very important medications (and as a slap in the face, filled a 10 day script for one). These are serious health medications and when I mentioned being out and having nothing for several weeks until return she did not care. All this office wants is money. The fact that she could care less about me going completely cold turkey off my medications in the middle of a work trip in Canada is dangerous and malpractice. My insurance only fills 30days at a time so it’s not like I could’ve planned ahead, and this is out of my control. We’ve already begun the process of legal proceedings and reporting this individual who has no business in healthcare. Do NOT see Jessica Ellsesser she is HORRID!"

"Here is my most recent visit and you can take this for what it is worth. They called to cancel my appointment the day of. They asked if I wanted rescheduled with a nurse practitioner and I said sure. During the appointment I told her I needed my permission refilled and she told me that needed to be done during a well check which is what I thought we were doing and she said she only had 15 minutes for me. She then said she would rush it and do the well check as maybe things didn’t get communicated with the rescheduling. Ok no problem. Long story short the visit was coded with my insurance as a regular visit (not my yearly well check) so I had to pay for the lab work. When I asked their billing office to fix it multiple times they didn’t yet kept sending me bills. And to make matters worse they never sent in my prescription. I never did get it and it was a necessary medication for me. I called the office trying to get it and so did the pharmacy and no luck. Sadly, I have had to change providers."

"My prior family physician closed his practice several years ago without notice, leaving me without a doctor. I called American Health Network and they were able to get me in very quickly to see Dr. Schroer. I can't state how great he is...very easy to talk to and is happy to answer questions. They have walk-in hours every morning and late appointments to work around your schedule. He has always been upfront and honest with me no matter what the health issue is. Several people from my office go to see him already and I have recommended him to a few more. You won't be disappointed!"
