"My mother and I drove 20 miles to try their donuts. My mother got 2 persians which I thought were a bit pricey as she paid $4.00 for the two. I had the maple bacon donut and also got a regular glazed. I love iced sugar cookies so I had to try them also. The donuts were very good and fresh and the cookies were soft and yummy. I had no cash so incurred a $1.00 fee to use my debit card. The employee maybe was having a bad day, but she was not very welcoming. Kinda an all business sort of woman. It would have been nice to have the donuts in the large display case as it was hard to see what they offered in the small one behind the counter. Don't know if I'll go out of my way again for this place."

"WHY WERE YOU GUYS CLOSED THE WEEK AFTER CHRISTMAS! Seriously a joke! Kids are out of school and you guys cannot afford of being the only pastry place in mercer county to be open.....I traveled all the way to Coldwater to see a dark store during a business week at 7am. Again, just lazy on your part.......you bake from 3am and done serving at 10am ........not to hard! Definitely miss Charley's Bakery as they were way better! Ive called this place several times in the past before heading overthere. I would tell im assuming the owner i was coming from Celina and she would be rude telling me the bakery in Celina carries their donuts as she seemed mad and disgusted as a Celina person was coming to Colwater....geesh......yeah at a mark up......and when the have enough........I feel like you must be in their donut club members only to deserve their pastries......."

"I wanted donuts, but was there late on a Saturday and the cases were nearly empty. There were literally 4 individually boxed sticky buns, one package of hamburger/sandwich buns a few monster cookies and a dozen or so iced cutouts. As I was making my selections from the meager pickings, a lady and then a mother with two children piled in the tiny storefront behind me. My first impulse, when I was inside by myself was - I should buy up this leftover assortment so they can close up for the day. There was a lady bringing stacks of empty boxes prepping for the next day. They were obviously at end of shift. My second thought was I need to leave stuff for these next customers. As I was checking out with 2 of the 4 sticky buns, package of hamburger buns and 4 cookies ($1 extra charge for using a debit card) the guy at the cash register told the box lady they were very limited on what was left. Box lady grunted a “yeah, what of it” and went back into the area out of sight behind the counter. Im leaving with my bag of not-quite-what-I-wanted, and the next lady steps forward and says something about x number of filled and such-and-such unfilled. He yells that request into the back. The little kids are pressing the hands and faces to the cookie display and the mother is telling them “we’re here for donuts.” But there are NO donuts! I am pushing my way past the door and I hear confirmation that box lady would be reappearing- and presumably WITH donuts. I had parked a little ways away and walked slowly enough to see customer number two come out with a bakery box. I then sat in my car the see the mom and children also appear with a box and two bags. The point of the tale is that there wasn’t enough stuff in the cases for what was carried out after me. There must be magical, secret stashes of what can only be donuts in the back. And I didn’t know the special knock and/or handshake to get the prize. The hamburger buns are great, I don’t eat pecans so I gave the sticky buns to my parents (they said they were very good) and the monster cookies were very spare in the good stuff. So my 4 star review is based on what I actually took away - apart from my emotional turmoil and exclusion from the donut club."
