"This restaurant is a gem of a find while visiting Columbus! First off, their mocha latte with oatmilk is the best I have ever had. I wish I was exaggerating but I promise I am not. If you like a smooth mocha that has a h I n t of sweetness, this is the drink for you! It was perfectly foamy and just got enough that I drank it pretty quick. My partner got a drop coffee and he said it was too hot to drink fast but the flavor was great. I ordered the breakfast burrito and my partner got the lox sandwich. Both were huge portions and extremely filling! I only ate half the burrito, it was that big. Can't wait to have the rest for lunch later as the flavor was delicious! Other reviews have talked about the pricing. For the amount of food and quality Emmett's supplies, it is more than worth the price! I wish I lived closer, this would be my new daily spot! Keep up the great work Emmett's! Your staff is super friendly and helpful!"
"Wow! The food: Delicious The coffee: Fantastic The service: Incredible My wife and I were really pleased with our visit to Emmett's. We got the Falafel Bowl, Emmything sandwich, and mocha coffee. It was all great! The different sauces they have are also a great addition. The seating is limited, so get there early."
"You pay for what you get! I thought it was priced accurately for the quality of food, and ambiance. It might be high for Ohio, but this is what I am used to paying when eating out. I was so happy to find this place. My poached eggs were cooked perfectly. For the people complaining about paying $15 for a breakfast burrito with avocado - that’s about a dollar more than a burrito bowl at chipotle. Get over it! I love supporting local businesses. I will be back next time I’m in Columbus! YUM!"
"What a gem!!!! Stopped in and had the breakfast Burrito and the Lox; WOW!!!! The food is incredibly good!!! Staff was super friendly. This is a quaint spot with NOT average food that you do not want to miss if your are visiting or a local who hasn’t yet visited. It isn’t cheap…. So if that is what you’re looking for, this might not be your spot BUT I’d beg to say ‘ you get what you pay for!’ and We will be back!"
"Let me start by saying this is a weird review for Emmett’s because their stuff is just too expensive, but I do have to give credit where due and admit that it IS good. Between my girlfriend and I, it was 40 bucks for a breakfast burrito, some salad thing she got, a latte and a single espresso shot. I don’t care how good it is, that’s just too much for such basic stuff. I’m not sure what the latte she got was, but I tried it and it was also good and had a pretty presentation. I got an espresso shot that was 3 dollars, pretty normal, and they asked if I just wanted to plain with no creams or anything and I said yes cause I prefer my espresso with just a little sugar. No problem at all. But when they rung it up, it added an extra dollar line item under it called “no feature”. I very politely asked the person at the register if he knew what that was and he admitted he didn’t. No one was mean or rude or anything and at the end of the day, it was 1 whole dollar. So I said “well if I’m going to pay an extra buck can I just get a shot of mocha syrup in it or something?” And they happily obliged. Everyone was polite from their end and mine. But I didn’t end up getting anything but a plain espresso shot, nothing in it. Which again, whatever. It’s 1 extra whole dollar. And to be honest, I’d bet that this is just some weird mess up in their point of sales system or maybe the employee pressed a button by mistake. So I’m not mad per say, but it should be addressed cause in a world where consumers are already extra price sensitive because of inflation and because a lot of places are adding “service fees” of 3-5%, it just doesn’t sit well. I’ve seen the owner of Emmett’s reply to some reviews so I hope they see it just so they can be aware and correct it. So overall, the food was delicious. The breakfast burrito I got WAS very good, but I mean 15 bucks? Too much. This is why it’s a weird and difficult review because everything was great there, but I feel like we were paying a premium for nothing which is a bummer cause this place is walking distance from my girlfriends place and I really did enjoy going, but the price is going to prevent us from going again. I’ve seen the owner comment about being more sustainable, higher quality ingredients, better pay for the staff, and I genuinely hope all of that is true because again, the experience was great and the employees were great. It just doesn’t sit well as a consumer to pay higher prices for pretty common to find items. I think avocado toast was 12 bucks if I remember. Come on. I buy avocados all the time, I love em. They’re nowhere NEAR expensive enough to justify that price. So overall, it IS a great place, the difference only ends up being a couple bucks realistically, but it’s that couple bucks that from a consumer standpoint makes it a tough sell to come back. I understand prices of everything has gone up. It’s a very difficult balance to find, and I do appreciate that I didn’t feel anything I got was subpar. Just some food for thought!"
