"Bought 2 recliners, they had two people bring them out who could barely lift them together. They basically threw them in the bed of my truck. When I got them home. One was broken, called to tell them and they refused to replace or even refund."

"Horrible customer service. An item was supposed to be on the truck the next day, according to manager. Came back the next day twice. Finally they ask for my #. I waited until noon, the 3rd day, they said the truck was unloaded and the item was available. Went to go get it today, none, the item never came in. No phone call. Don't tell someone something to get them back into your store. I won't come back."
"When I walked into the Ghost Town that is Big Lots, there were no shopping carts that did not squeak, bang or weren't stuck together. I am well aware that the store on an individual level is not as responsible for pricing, but almost all of the prices are way more than any comparable item at Kroger or Walmart. The variety helps but it gets unnecessary. Most people are not looking to buy serious furniture at the same place they get their small snacks and groceries. I doubt the store as a whole moves big figures."
"The guy in the furniture department was incredibly helpful! He told us that Big Lots gets overstock from higher end furniture stores in the area. We paid at least $1000 less for our brand new Lane sofa!"
