"I am very disappointed in our experience with Dr. Dohar. He completely missed my child's strep throat. He did a brief physical exam, including the throat, stated that he didn't think my child had strep, and therefore a test wasn't done (despite that strep was running rampant at preschool, which I had mentioned multiple times in the visit). My child also had a rash (not uncommon in kids with strep) - yet another reason a test should've been done. Not only did we not get timely treatment for the strep that my child ultimately DID have (after an expensive urgent care visit days later), but Dr. Dohar assured us my child was not contagious and thus could return to school the following day. Yikes. Yes, strep can go away on its own without antibiotics, but the doctor's lack of attention to important details caused harm and unnecessary stress to our entire family. Other family members ended up getting strep as well, which could have been avoided if Dr. Dohar would have been more diligent. As much as this disappoints me to say, we will avoid this doctor in the future, and maybe this entire office."
