"I don't have any experience with this center, only because they haven't called me back in 3 days so that I can book an appointment. (They don't answer the phone, so you have to leave a message to book an appointment) I'm in a bad way right now, not suicidal (yet) but I didn't call them because I thought I could wait a month or two or three to get help. I NEED it ASAP. Maybe they're busy, but it just would be nice to at least for me to be aknowledged that they even received my voicemail."

"They are a joke my son was sent to this facility when we clearly made it a point that we didn't want him there and wanted to wait on another bed somewhere else because of past experience with them. They told him and I that he was going to be discharged but that wasn't what they had in mind all along we were told he would be discharged around 5:30 or 6:00 then was told that he would be released at 11:00 p.m. when 6:00 rode by with no information I contacted them and they said that he was being transferred to Lorain which is almost an hour away from us they would not allow his brother to talk to him and would not give any information. Told him he was already transferred which was a lie. After being given this information I asked to talk to my son and the social worker hung up on me after being disrespectful and very rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay clear of this place if possible!!!"

"Going thru hard times they helped me and have other resources that are available. There's just a process to get everything. They will help. Doctors staff nurse's. I left some of my things there, some hygiene, for four months and they still had my things waiting for me to pick up. They do there jobs. Some things like med are small process at times. Staff will talk to make sure your good or just for the conversation. I've been there more than once and it's the process. Don't be expecting steak and lobster and you'll be the food not bad. So, appreciate all of you giving support when we need it."

"If I could give this place less than 1 star I would, I was unwillingly admitted here in the 24 hour emergency facility and they made me stay for about 3 days, they do not let you shower, there are only 3 rooms with cots that are CHAINED to the ground, and then a waiting room type area where others were forced to sleep. The Psychiatrist's here are not helpful and will judge you for your situation. More than one pair of clothes were not allowed, and seeing as how there is no shower, you can see how wrong that is. They do not make dietary accommodations either, I was forced to starve because I do not eat meat and they refused to give me anything but stale bread with peanut butter & jelly. I would avoid this place at all costs, I still have nightmares about my experience."

"I went to Summa voluntarily as I was suicidal, and had attempted to kill myself. Summa told me I would be transported to St. Thomas. Well, instead they transported me to Portage Path emergency which is probably the worst place. I got in about 2:00 a.m. with nowhere to sleep but a chair in a waiting room type setting. The next day I was moved to a couch in the waiting room setting with at least 6 other people in the room with me who were patients at all times. Other patients were very loud (screaming) and one was extremely violent to the point where I didn’t feel safe around him. Nothing was really done about the problematic people. I was here for 2 days and was told that I couldn’t take a shower because they didn’t have one. The whole 48 hours that I was there I did not once see someone clean. All the employees did was stand around and gossip and laugh. I HATED going to the bathroom because it was so disgusting and the whole place you could tell hadn’t been cleaned in a while. All you were allowed to do was watch tv and eat. That’s even worse on someone not even allowing anything so basically the only thing to do there to pass the time was sleep. A LOT of people including myself just slept the day away, that isn’t healthy at all. Being in unsanitary conditions isn’t healthy either. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough I immediately took a shower when I got home."
